Physically imposing and inexorable, he delivers the entire Divine Comedy with a booming voice. Hypnotic, determined, authoritative. We do not know precisely the character and the attitude of the true Alighieri; but certainly our Giovanni Terreni manages to re-invent a credible version of the great poet. In short, to sum it up in a well-known slogan: "Dante is alive and struggles with us".
