L’Agresto (The Verjuice) – Tavern

In the suggestive and untouched corner of via Matteotti, behind Piazza Roma, the historic group L'Agresto runs a typical medieval open-air tavern. The tables are arranged along the street, while in the beautiful masonry bread oven, still active in these timeless spaces of Monteriggioni, they bake amazing flat breads (“focacce” and “ciaccini”) to be stuffed with all sorts of good things.
